Prior to their recent associations, both Princess Luna and her notorious counterpart, Nightmare Moon had both made the acquaintance of and, in the case of Nightmare Moon at least, even established a formal business relationship with King Haggard. During the period of his youth when he became interested in unicorns his search for them ranged far and wide. He ate drank and slept them. Regarding the latter his interest was so strong that it compelled him to seek them out in his dreams.
